Call for Papers

AMIS 45th Annual Meeting
National Music Museum
Vermillion, South Dakota
May 18-22, 2016

The Program Committee for the 2016 AMIS meeting at the National Music Museum welcomes proposals for papers, lecture-demonstrations, and performances on a broad range of topics relating to the history, design, use, and care of musical instruments, with a focus on instruments at the National Music Museum.

Individual presentations are typically limited to 20 minutes (followed by time for questions and discussion), but requests for longer presentations will be considered. The specified language of the abstracts and presentations is English, and papers should be delivered in person at the conference by the author. All presenters must register for the conference.

Abstracts must be postmarked/time-stamped no later than Monday, December 7, 2015. Each proposal should consist of an abstract not exceeding 400 words, accompanied by a brief biography and a list of required audio-visual equipment.

Please submit one copy including the author’s name, institutional affiliation (if any), mailing address, email address and the abstract-proposal.
